Largest landscape photograph that Ryan has made.
Whilst on his tour bus in the open country, Ryan always takes time out at night to reflect and often shoots long exposure photographs of the sky at night.
The sky at night feels like a breath of air in the American landscape and alludes to the way in which his work is rooted in the four elements: Earth, fire, water and air.
The endlessness of looking up at the night sky conjures up this feeling of being ‘on the road’.
