"The idea behind the new photos was very simple and quite practical. After moving to Berlin and having no studio or 'props', and only his camera and a small amount of film, the artist set up in the corner of the bedroom of his apartment, taking six photos and using objects from his apartment only. The artist describes this as an exercise in 'limiting' himself. The four photos for Alison Jacques Gallery are the initial results, the final two photos are yet to be printed. Fletcher feels very happy with the outcome of these photos, and he describes them as giving him a feeling of new beginnings."
Fletcher now has a new studio 100m sq, with 5m high ceilings and 3m high windows, he says "the light is great and inspiring too"
