'i guess the newer element would be the printer.
i choosed to include objects like this one in recent paintings mostly for their unloaded and unburdened appearance .
they are mostly object where there is no need to discuss the design of it, like a hot dog or a piano. or in this case most striking a printer.
you can't argue with the form of a printer . it follows function. so its clean.
but then when i include objects like this into the turmoil something else starts , it triggers things , in a weird way
a lot of the last paintings at peter and this one somehow make me think of jungles , old men , joseph konrad on a boat .
the stone hero sandwich above as a old relic from the past.
there was something feverish and funny coming into the painting when i added the printer , which was nice and unexpected.
i guess its about old men on canoes. ' - MB Dec 2014
